With over 30 years of experience in dance, Tairra brings a rich and diverse background to every class. Trained in a wide range of styles - from ballet, jazz, and hip hop, Latin rhythms, ballroom, and swing - she now specializes in West Coast Swing, a dance she loves for its connection, creativity, and room for personal expression. Her teaching is rooted in deep body awareness, drawing from both her extensive dance training and her professional experience as a registered nurse.

What sets her apart is her unique blend of dance expertise and clinical knowledge. She creates a personalized experience for each student, combining the mechanics of West Coast Swing with a deep understanding of how the body moves and learns. Her teaching focuses not just on steps, but on how to embody the dance - making it feel natural, sustainable, and joyful. She’s all about helping students understand the “how” and “why” behind dance- breaking down the mechanics in a way that actually makes sense to your body, so you can move more freely and confidently!

Tairra’s personal philosohpy is that dance is a lifelong, evolving art form. She believes that even the most seasoned dancers must remain students - continually training, exploring, and adapting to grow. This mindset fuels her passion for teaching and keeps her classes fresh, dynamic, and grounded in both tradition and innovation!
